If you have Jewellery you want to Insure – having a Durability rating on your valuation will alert you to any risks to your jewellery. This will help you to take care of your precious item.
If you are an Insurance Claims Handler – durability should be considered when assessing items claimed for as damaged. This will ensure that a damage event has occured, and that the loss isn’t due to an underlying durability issue – poor manufacture, poor materials, excessive and inappropriate wear.
